HR Outsourcing Company Doing Good -- and Poised to Grow

Here's another entry in our Big Business Contest describing a company's personal struggle to grow, succeed, and thrive.

Judging of the entrants has begun, and 15 semi-finalists will be notified on Monday, May 5. Come back to vote on the finalists as they compete for the two final prizes -- specialized consulting from a business expert and a trip to Maui for business- and wealth-building seminars.

As I write this essay on Sunday, 3/30/08, I am flying over the Pacific Ocean returning from a 6 day trip from the beautiful island of Maui!

I am currently a mid-stage Level Two business owner poised to go to the next level. Why now? Partially because of my desire to free up more of my time to focus on hobbies in my life that I want to take to the next level (e.g. playing the piano and writing books). But, by far, the most significant reason why I desire to go to the next level in my business is to build my wealth so that I can contribute my time, talents, and financial contributions to organizations that I am passionate about. For the last 2.5 years our firm has maintained several long-standing partnerships with 3 different charities whereas we contribute financially to these organizations on a regular basis. However, I want to take this giving to the next level!

Our firm assists a variety of business clients with human resources (HR) outsourcing needs which include everything from payroll, benefits, and staffing; to employment management, safety, and workers comp.

I’d like to share with you the type of clients we serve. Each moment of every day that we provide service to our client Lutheran Social Services (www.lsssc.org) we are indirectly assisting a senior citizen with finding affordable housing. With the sending of an email or the screening of a candidate, we are indirectly assisting our client The Painted Turtle (www.thepaintedturtle.org) with granting a medically fragile child with the dream of attending summer camp in a dynamic and safe environment. Because we also serve clients such as Connections for Children (www.cfc-ca.org) and Drew Child Development Corporation (www.drew-cdc.org) we indirectly impact a low-income family’s ability to receive free childcare so that parents can enter the workforce or return to school.

We are in the process of solidifying our business objectives, many of which have been birthed out of the Maui book. Current initiatives include developing new streams of revenue by selling our intellectual property (e.g. development of a training video specifically targeted to licensees of the state of California). We would also like to develop more strategic partnerships with vendors that sale to faith-based organizations target market.

Our business model, HR outsourcing, is an attractive model which is experiencing explosive growth (53% of all companies outsource some portion of their HR tasks - Source:*Culpepper Compensation & Benefits Survey – Inc. magazine, March 2008). Most important, I am confident that we would absolutely maximum the 120-day business and wealth transformation coaching. To us, this coaching is simply invaluable.

Will we grow this enterprise to a Level Three Business if we do not win this contest? Absolutely! However, we recognize the amazing opportunity to receive this business coaching and are so very hopeful for the opportunity to advance to the next level of this contest.
