Customer service specialists are in increasingly strong demand as companies move into the online electronic commerce arena, according to industry analysts. A recent search of several Internet employment agencies revealed 700 customer service positions at the Monster.com site and 14,000 at the Dice.com site. Companies such as Priceline.com, which are built around online transaction processing, are moving to build up their customer service staff and systems, viewing it as a critical factor in the success of their business plans.
