Hydraulic Gear Maker to Close West Branch, Iowa, Plant, Cut 130 Jobs.

Aug. 12--WEST BRANCH, Iowa--A global manufacturer of hydraulic gear for off-road e...uipment will close its West Branch plant next year, eliminating 130 jobs.
Workers were told Tuesday that their jobs will be eliminated when the plant is closed in March 2004 and its production shifted to other Sauer-Danfoss plants.
The West Branch plant opened six years ago. It man ufactures and tests open circuit hydraulic pumps. Average pay is more than $10 per hour at
