IP to close medium mill.(200,000 TONS ANNUALLY)

International Paper says it will close its Terre Haute, Ind., 170-worker containerboard mill in the fourth quarter. The mill produces 200,000 tons of medium annually.

The Memphis, Tenn.-based company said it had studied its options for closing or selling the mill for the past two years, but found that continued operations were unfeasible.
