Thai Insurance Firms Say Loss Rate in Student Segment up to 100 Percent.

Jun. 18--Local insurance companies say their businesses will be affected slightly by the cabinet's decision yesterday to lift the requirement that students buy accident insurance, as only a few insurers are currently active in providing coverage in the segment.
"Direct impact is unlikely," said Suchin Wanglee, president of the General Insurance Association.
