Feb. 4--Secure Horizons, the Metroplex's only Medicare HMO, will improve members' benefits and eliminate their monthly premiums altogether, the company announced this week.
Members will pay less out-of-pocket to visit doctors and buy drugs, and they will get coverage for brand-name drugs. The HMO has 42,000 members in Dallas-Worth.
The changes come in response to Medicare legislation that passed in December that will funnel more money to private insurers
