Few Companies Offer Insurance Plans to Politicians as High-Risk.

Feb. 23--Politicians' ages are as big a risk for providing insurance coverage as their excessive claims, according to business experts.

Sukhathep Chansrichawla, the chairman and president of Mittare Insurance, one of the few companies willing to offer insurance plans to politicians, said the business risk and underwriting costs were relatively high, particularly for senators who are mostly over 50 years old with some well past 70.
