Annuities Comment: No appetite for cross border annuities.

Despite the debated opportunities which could be offered by a single European market for the life industry, cross-border annuities do not look set for any imminent widespread export.

We may now change our sterling into euros with regularity for trips to the continent, and may be even be subject to the universal currency ourselves at some stage, but it seems improbable that UK annuity providers will adapt such a universal approach to annuities.
