Link between longevity and location probed.

CGNU recently announced it was researching the link between lifespan and location.

It plans to use the findings to calculate annuity entitlements.

By including UK postcode information in its annuity mix, CGNU hopes to identify areas where life expectancy is low and areas where residents typically live longer. Annuitants would then either gain from a slightly higher annuity rate, where lifespan is shortened, or receive a slightly lower annuity income but for longer where lifespan is above average.
