meeting to discuss current issues and recommended actions for
case management practice --
Mary Jane McKendry,
McKendry, an accomplished teacher and speaker in the case management arena, as well as a published author of numerous articles and a new book on medical management for the Health Insurance Association of America (HIAA), was also recently selected to participate in a joint venture founded by CMSA and the Academy of Certified Case Managers (ACCM). The first group meeting, entitled "Visioneering Case Management's Future," assembles the nation's primary stakeholders in the case management profession to focus discussion and recommendations around current issues in the evolving trends of case management.
"Health care is evolving toward an integrated medical management platform across the continuum of care," stated McKendry. "Case managers are a critical link in this platform. I am confident that this visioneering project, with the expertise and diversity of the people selected to participate, will contribute significantly toward helping us both address the changing face of health care and position the future of case management."
The group will be gathering for their initial discussion this December, with follow up meetings to be scheduled at a later date.
