Plano, Texas-Based Computer Consulting Firm Signs $570 Million BlueCross Deal.

Jun. 3--Perot Systems Corp. said Monday that it has signed the fourth-largest contract in its 15-year history, boasting that its deal with Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island would be a model for mixing computer services and consulting in a long-term agreement.

In the 10-year, $570 million deal, Plano-based Perot Systems will handle Blue Cross' information technology and process insurance claims, taking on about 600 employees. More important, Perot Systems consultants
