WASHINGTON, D.C. -- They came in yellow school buses with their classmates and teachers, but it was not the usual field trip for about 270 students from Washington, D.C.,'s economically depressed schools.
Greeting the students on a recent day at the Howard University School of Dentistry were more than 100 dentists, dental students and volunteers hoping to fill cavities, pull a tooth or two and clean some mouths.
It was all part of the third Washington program Give Kids a Smile, a nationwide initiative of the American Dental Association to provide free care
