New online prescribing initiative improves consumer experience by

Abaton.com, Inc. and Express Scripts announced today

at Intel Corporation's Internet Health Day II, a new e-commerce initiative that allows physicians to prescribe online using Abaton's prescribing system, ClinRx.com. This system, which is currently in use at healthcare organizations in the U.S., also allows physicians to review a patient's history for harmful drug interactions and allergies and access formulary guidelines at the time of prescribing, preserving patient confidentiality at every step. The teaming of Abaton and Express Scripts, the nation's leading independent full-service pharmacy benefit manager, will yield a number of quality and service benefits for consumers. For example, physicians will be able to access the list of drugs preferred by a member's plan before writing the prescription.
