For the first time, hospital clinicians can access inpatient formularies and health plan formularies in one seamless interface from their Internet browser or handheld PDA. Physicians, nurses and pharmacists can now ensure that the medications prescribed for a patient will be covered in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.

MedKeeper, LLC, has integrated the Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare's (CAQH) Formulary DataSource, a database of formularies from the nation's leading health plans, into MedKeeper's FormChecker(TM) electronic formulary management tool.

"The CAQH Formulary DataSource contains health plan formulary information for over 50 million covered patient lives, making it the one of the most complete formulary data sets available," said Michael Moore, M.D., Chief Medical Officer at MedKeeper. Clinicians at several leading institutions access the product via a PDA or PC over one thousand times per week.
