To Ken Anderberg:

Your article on the Conferencing Roundtable in your March issue was interesting. I see that two of the participants had to rent a public videoconference room. Let me make sure I am straight on this: These are executives with major videoconferencing companies and they

have to rent conference rooms to do a videoconference? Something has to be wrong with this picture. Who were these two individuals? And why did they not have access to their own videoconference systems?

Sounds to me like they have seen the problems with videoconferencing; I can only talk to those with the capability. What good is the technology if I have to keep booking a conference room. The industry needs to embed videoconferencing into every PC made--standard. Give me someone to talk to on my schedule--not to where I have to book a meeting just to talk to you--and the industry will take off.

Just look at their business cards to see if these roundtable participants are serious about videoconferencing. I believe only one will have a video number listed on their card so you can call them.
