Cambridge University Press (CUP; New York) has begun the publication of "Health, Economics, Policy and Law" with a January issue. The quarterly journal is targeted to counsel, academics, policy makers and health care professionals. An annual print subscription costs $48 for individuals and $220

The journal is designed to highlight information on the confluence of economics, politcs and legal considerations in the health policy process. Editorial carries articles that emphasize "rigorous conceptual development and analysis," as well as on the presentation of empirical evidence that is relevant to the policy process. The premier issue includes articles on: possible adverse selection due to greater Medicare HMO enrollment; a game theoretical model of drug launch in India; the trade in human organs; cross-national comparisons of human resources for health; and, setting health care priorities. It also carries essays and book reviews.

Earlier this year, CUP also began the publication of two other legal journals, including "International Journal of Law in Context" and "European Constitutional Law Review."
