Publishers: At The Dispatch of Gilroy, Calif., Steve Staloch has been named publisher; most recently he was publisher of the Merced Sun-Star. Staloch, who will remain the senior vice president of MainStreet Media Group LLC, owner of The Dispatch, will also be publisher at the company’s Free Lance of Hollister and the twice-weekly Morgan Hill Times. ... At the Montana Standard in Butte, Rona Rahlf has been named publisher; previously she was human resources manager at the Billings Gazette (both Montana papers are owned by Lee Enterprises). Earlier in her career, Rahlf was retail advertising manager at the Gazette, where she started her career in 1987 as a shopper advertising sales rep. ... At the News-Times of Newport, Ore., Mark Bryan has been named publisher; previously he was circulation director of the Daily News in Longview, Wash. (both are Lee papers). Earlier in his career, Bryan was circulation director of the Wyoming Tribune-Eagle in Cheyenne, circulation manager at Idaho’s Lewiston Morning Tribune and was a circulation executive at both the Anchorage Times and the Anchorage Daily News in Alaska. Bryan takes one-half of long-time managing editor and publisher Leslie O’Donnell’s duties, following O’Donnell’s announcement late last month that she would be returning to her native New England. ... At Ohio’s St. Marys Evening Leader, Tina Waterman has been named publisher; previously she was publisher of the Times Bulletin of Van Wert. Earlier in her career, Waterman was publisher of Ohio’s Sidney Daily News and served as an executive at papers in Connecticut and Pennsylvania. Waterman is a native of St. Marys. ...
