Solutions to Challenges Can Come from the Most Unlikely Places

When we got ready to watch a movie we noticed there wasn't a DVD player in the family room so we took one from the bedroom to temporarily use. But since this cabin is a rental the television was "bolted" to the mantle to keep it from walking away I guess. Which meant that the plug-ins for the video/audio cables couldn't be seen (although they could be felt as you reached behind the unit).
Well, at this point the popcorn is ready and the kids are way more than ready to watch a movie and no one is accepting that we can't figure this situation out. We worked and worked to get the plugs "in" correctly so this would work but just couldn't get it work because I couldn't see which plug was which color.
Then from the mind of my youngest daughter (Gracen - 8 years old) who was right up there with me helping came the answer. "Reflection"!! She came up with the idea of using a mirror to see what was in a spot that I couldn't. How simple yet she came up with it not me.
Because of her we were able to enjoy a family movie together- nice job "Bug".
