Mr. Lalonde assumed his current position at LVMH Watch & Jewelry N.A. in April 2002. Before joining LVMH, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Nestle Nespresso S.A. and prior to that President of Nestle Nespresso Inc. in New York. Mr. Lalonde holds an M.B.A. from INSEAD (France) and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Waterloo (Canada).
In his new position at Louis Vuitton, Mr. Lalonde succeeds Jean-Marc Gallot, who was appointed President, Europe of Louis Vuitton earlier this year. Philip Corne, Louis Vuitton's President in Australia and New Zealand, has served as Acting President & CEO of Louis Vuitton N.A. since Mr. Gallot's departure and will continue to do so until Mr. Lalonde's arrival.
