FoodWorks division, a longtime leader in self-op corporate dining, to be divested.

Motorola,

Inc., has made a corporate decision to outsource its foodservice operations, and is entering into a long-term agreement with Compass Group North America to be its primary foodservice provider.

Under the agreement, Compass will provide foodservice and catering to Motorola's North American operations, including vending, catering and cafe operations in Arizona, Texas, Florida, Illinois and Mexico. As part of the agreement, Motorola will also divest its FoodWorks operations to Compass.

"This is a great opportunity for Compass Group," said Rick Postiglione, president of Compass's B&I division, in a statement released by Compass.

"This is a mutually beneficial agreement for Motorola and Compass," added Richard Ysmael, vice president and director of Food Works, in the same release. "We will keep our management team and our Food Works team intact."
