Pepco announces contractor alliance program

Pepco Energy Services, Inc., a wholly owned, separately-managed subsidiary of Potomac Electric Power Company, has launched an initiative designed to attract independent heating and air conditioning (HVAC) contractors in the Washington, DC area bo

sell and maintain energy-efficient HVAC products.

According to Pepco, its Contractor Alliance Program will allow HVAC contractors to retain their independence, while benefiting from sales leads and marketing campaigns provided under the Pepco Energy Services name.

The Contractor Alliance Program provides Pepco Energy Services and contractors the opportunity to "leverage each other's strengths for the purpose of acquiring and retaining long-term HVAC repair and new custowers. Contractors now have an opportunity to concentrate on setting their own competitive pricing, installing and servicing HVAC products while taking advantage of Pepco Energy Services' advertising, marketing, billing, dispatching, and quality control," Pepco says. Also as part of the program, contractors will receive information on energy efficient products, as well as ongoing training.
