ServiceTrak Survey ranks Philips number one in eight

categories for Overall Service Performance

Royal Philips Electronics (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHI) today announced that its Medical

Systems division earned the highest service marks in IMV Limited's annual survey of medical technology companies.

Philips grabbed top honors for Overall Service Performance in eight different categories including: Nuclear Medicine, Patient Monitoring, PET Systems, X-Ray Angiography, X-Ray Cardiology, Ultrasound Cardiology, Ultrasound Radiology /OB-GYN, and Ultrasound - All Systems. Philips is the first company ever to earn the top spot in the ServiceTrak Imaging survey for such a wide array of medical technology disciplines.

More than 2,000 users from hospitals across the United States responded to the ServiceTrak Imaging survey, which analyzes customer satisfaction in Nuclear Medicine Cameras, Patient Monitoring Systems, PET Systems, X-Ray Systems, Ultrasound, CT Scanners, MRI Systems and Radiation Therapy Systems. For each modality, IMV asked users to rate the major medical technology companies on 30 different service factors including engineer competence and attitude, help desk troubleshooting effectiveness, emergency service, hardware and software reliability, system installation process and others.

"Our high marks in the ServiceTrak Imaging survey have really energized our team because these results are a measure of how our customers view us," stated Jack Price, president and CEO, Philips Medical Systems North America. "We don't, however, intend to rest on our laurels - this recognition only reinvigorates our commitment to providing the best possible equipment and service in the diagnostic imaging and monitoring marketplace."
