VIENNA, Austria--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 3, 2003

Philips is demonstrating a number of highly advanced IT and imaging modality solutions at this year's European Congress of Radiology (ECR) in Vienna.

The event is the opportunity for the European introduction of Philips' revolutionary Vequion family of clinical IT products and services, the MultiDiagnost Eleva multi-purpose x-ray system, new Panorama and Intera MR systems and the Mx8000 IDT 10-slice CT scanner, following their launch at RSNA 2002.

What is Philips showing at ECR?

Philips will be showing the Vequion range of clinical IT products, the revolutionary MultiDiagnost Eleva x-ray system, the Mx8000 IDT 10 CT scanner and new Panorama and Intera MR systems.

They will also show the CT Lung Nodule program that enables accurate comparison of the growth rate of lung nodules over time. Also completely new is Philips' groundbreaking MicroVascular Imaging ultrasound contrast-imaging technology.

Why speak to Philips?

Philips' Vequion family helps healthcare organizations to streamline workflow and improve patient care through management of their IT infrastructure.

Jos Bakker, strategic marketing manager for imaging IT will be at ECR for pre-arranged interviews on Vequion.

Philips' Lung Nodule Assessment (LNA) and comparison program, which has recently been granted FDA clearance in the USA, provides quantitative information on the size, shape and change over time of lung nodules.

Thomas van Elzakker, director global marketing strategy CT radiology products and Mike Hayden, business line manager CT for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) will be available for pre-arranged interviews.

MicroVascular Imaging (MVI), is a feature of Philips' HDI 5000 system. MVI can visualize and track contrast bubbles as they pass through very small blood vessels. This capability indicates high potential for early detection of breast tumors and for monitoring tumor therapy response.

Jim Walchenbach, marketing manger of general imaging in EMEA will be available for pre-arranged interviews.

Interviews with other key spokespeople on Philips products are available on request.
