On Nov. 12, 1902, when the hospital opened its doors for the first time, it offered all of seven beds. Now celebrating its 100th year, Rockland County's Good Samaritan Hospital is a 370-bed tertiary care facility.
"It's a very modern hospital with very modem technology, but the mission is the same," said Ann Lombardi-Nathan, the hospital's director of public relations. "Our mission is to care, to provide help for those in need."
