Mr. Caloz, a Chartered Accountant, will be responsible for the Finance, Human Resources and Management Information Systems functions of the Company, according to Dr. John A. O'Malley, IRIS Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Caloz, who has expertise in research and development as related to financing, general management, acquisitions, initial public offerings, and international tax planning, most recently served as CFO of Synarc, Inc., of San Francisco, CA, a startup medical imaging services company employing 120 people with operations in the U.S. and Europe. From 1993 to 1999 he was Senior Vice President, Finance and CFO of Phoenix International Life Sciences Inc. of Montreal, Canada and Irvine, Calif., a contract research organization to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries employing more than 2,000 people with facilities in Canada, the U.S. and Europe. From 1983 to 1993, Mr. Caloz was a partner at Rooney, Greig, Whitrod, Filion & Assoc. of Saint Laurent, Quebec, a firm of Chartered Accountants specializing in R&D and high tech companies.
Mr. Caloz holds a B.A. in Accounting from York University, Toronto, Canada.

Advanced Digital Imaging Research, LLC, (also known as ADIR) is a research and development organization specializing in digital imaging software and algorithm development for IRIS and government entities. ADIR applies for government grants with potential commercial application to the imaging part of the IRIS business. ADIR also performs some of IRIS's internal research and development work. ADIR plans to build a commercial research and development business focused on non-governmental corporate clients.
