Durham, N.C., Region Hospital Taps Baltimore Health Executive to Be Its Chief.

Sep. 5--DURHAM, N.C.--Durham Regional Hospital has tapped David P. McQuaid, a pharmacist-turned-hospital administrator with experience easing a community hospital into a major academic health system, as its new chief executive.

McQuaid, 49, is an executive vice president of the Johns Hopkins Health System in Baltimore and chief operating officer of the system's 702-bed Bayview Medical Center, a position he has held since November 2001.
