VNS celebrating 100th year of service. (Focus on Health Care).

Providing more than 100,000 home care visits to almost 4,000 Westchester residents during 2000, the Visiting Nurse Services of Westchester Inc., a not-for-profit certified home health agency, is celebrating its 100th year of service to the county.

"I have to give a lot of credit to the board of directors," said Carol L. Weber, president and chief executive officer of the VNS. "They took a pretty brave stand several years ago when managed care really came in and knocked the socks off everybody, including all the health care providers, hospitals, doctors, and in-home car
