Roche plans fifth facilities expansion in downtown Burlington, N.C.

Roche Biomedical Laboratories Inc. has purchased seven sites in Burlington's downtown business district to be used for additional office space and parking for employees. The properties, purchased for $438,000, include three historical structures and two vacant lots.

"Our employees are glad to be part of the business community in Burlington," said Dr. James B. Powell, president of Roche. "And we are committed to the physical and financial well-being of the downtown business district."
