EU/SWITZERLAND: NO DISCRIMINATION IN SIGHT FOR EUROPEAN UNION LORRIES

Summary: Notwithstanding the outcome of the February 2O referendum, when it was decided to bar lorry transit traffic from the Swiss Confederation by the year 2004, Switzerland will not be discriminating against EU transport operators. This is at least is what the Swiss authorities told the European Commission, which passed on the information to the April 18 Council of EU Transport Ministers in Luxembourg.
