RS Information Systems (RSIS) announced today it has been awarded a $17.8 million contract to provide systems engineering and technical services for the Coast Guard's Aircraft Repair and Supply Center (ARSC)
RSIS will operate and maintain all of the aviation information systems essential to effective logistics and maintenance support of over 200 Coast Guard aircraft at 25 air stations in the United States and Puerto Rico.
"This vitally important work supports effective information dissemination for U.S. Coast Guard pilots and crews everywhere," said Rodney P. Hunt, RSIS president and CEO. "RSIS will provide personnel, supervision, materials and services required to operate and maintain the information systems centrally managed by ARSC."
The contract calls for RSIS to provide 46 full-time employees for the next five years.
RSIS provides advanced technical and business solutions in information technology, science, engineering and management consulting to government and commercial clients. The company has 1100 employees nationwide, 60 percent of whom are women, minorities, veterans and handicapped individuals. Last year, its revenues doubled to about $80 million, and it expects revenues to reach $140 million this year.
A Washington Technology survey in May placed RSIS among the Top 100 federal prime contractors based on revenue. RSIS was named NASA's Minority Contractor of the Year in 2000 and it is annually listed as one of the 50 fastest-growing technology companies in the Washington area.
