Detroit Regional Chamber Mascot, Bizzy, to Make Debut at Small Business Conference, Nov. 10.

DETROIT -- The Detroit Regional Chamber has a new mascot that can help small business members make money, save money and grow. Standing eight feet tall, "Bizzy" will make its debut at the Detroit Regional Chamber Small Business Conference 2004, Nov. 10 at the Ford Conference and Event

Center in Dearborn.

Bizzy will be passing out small business tips to conference attendees throughout the day.

"We created Bizzy to put energy and fun into Small Business Central, the Chamber's one stop shop for small businesses," said Chamber Senior Vice President of Marketing and Member Services Tami Door, CCE. "Bizzy started as an icon on our Website but he's coming to life for the conference."

Now in its second year, the Small Business Conference is the only one of its kind in the region. The conference offers keynote speakers and breakout sessions all designed for the small business owner or operator. More than 1,000 people will attend Wednesday's event. The event is sold out.

Small Business Central is a one-stop resource to help small businesses grow and succeed, which includes networking events, marketing opportunities, discounted products and services and advocacy efforts. Small Business Central can be accessed at www.detroitchamber.com.

The conference is 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., followed by a membership reception from 5 -7 p.m. Doors will open at 7 a.m. for continental breakfast and an opportunity to see the Paul W. Show on WJR broadcasting live from the event.

The Detroit Regional Chamber is the leading business organization in the region and the largest chamber of commerce in the country. The Chamber's mission - to power the economy for Southeast Michigan - is carried out through business attraction efforts, public policy advocacy, strategic partnerships and quality products and services for members.
