Participants at the seventh plenary session of Kimberley Process, which met at the Twickenham rugby ground in London from September 11 to September 13, 2001, reached agreement in principal on the key elements that will be included in the international certification scheme for rough diamonds, which is designed to eradicate the trade in goods aimed at financing armed conflict in Africa.
