Australian Venture Focuses on Commercialising Quickstep Composites Process.

July 12, 2004 - A world centre for the manufacture of advanced polymer matrix composites was launched in Australian state of Victoria.

Hon John Brumby MP, state treasurer and innovation minister, opened a facility at Deakin University in the Geelong Technology Precinct in Geelong, Victoria.

The state has established the Victorian Centre for Advanced Materials Manufacturing (VCAMM) in a venture with advanced materials group Quickstep Technologies Pty Ltd of Canning Vale near Perth, Australia.
