Marshall named state ACLU's legal director.
An assistant attorney general with a legal background of helping the poor has been named the American Civil liberties Union of Florida's new legal director.
Randall C. Marshall, 48, of Miami, has been an assistant attorney general since June 1999, and before that was an assistant city solicitor with the city of Pittsburgh -- where he defended the city in cases brought by the ACLU.
