$200M Building Program in Israel Could Grow if Peace Breaks Out.

A U.S. government effort to spend $200 million to relocate Israeli military bases could blossom into a significantly larger outlay if peace accords are reached between Israel and either Syria or the Palestinians, said a construction industry official.

Under a potential Israel-Syria agreement, the U.S. government probably would provide funding for new bases related to an Israeli withdrawal from the Golan Heights, said Terry Chamberlain, director of the international construction division for the Associated General Contractors (AGC).
