Committee Approves Electric Reliability Act.(Brief Article)

The Senate Energy and Natural Resource Committee has voted to approve S. 2071, The Electric Reliability 2000 Act. The North American Electric Reliability Council (NERC), which has been strongly in favor of the proposed bill commended, "the bipartisan leadership shown by Chairman Murkowski, Senator Bingaman, and Senator Gorton in moving this essential legislation a step closer to enactment," said NERC President Michehl R.
