Several DeVry University campuses were among the top institutions that produce minority graduates with baccalaureate degrees, according to the education trade publication,
The publication considers the institutions included in the list to be the most productive institutions in conferring baccalaureate degrees to students of color. The list measures degrees awarded during the 2002-03 academic year and includes breakdowns for several academic disciplines for the following minority groups: African American, American Indian, Asian American and Hispanic. The data come from the U.S. Department of Education's National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) and Integrated Postsecondary Education Data Set (IPEDS).
On the overall list, DeVry/California with eight locations, ranked number 40, with a total of 1,242 minority students. DeVry/Illinois ranked number 81, with a total of 775 minority students. DeVry has 11 locations in Illinois.
On the "Computer Information Sciences and Support Services" list, in addition to California and Illinois, DeVry campuses in Georgia, Texas, New Jersey and New York were all in the top 50.
Other DeVry locations in Arizona, Missouri and Ohio were also noted among the top institutions in various categories.
