The U.S. Coast Guard acknowledges its Benkert Award to be the premier national prize recognizing marine environmental excellence that extends far beyond mere compliance with industrial and regulatory standards. The award encompasses all aspects of marine environmental protection.
IMT earned the highest standard of recognition (gold level) as a first-time applicant in the Foreign Vessel category. The company is also the recipient of several international awards including three consecutive Sword of Honour awards from the British Safety Council.
SeaRiver merited the silver Benkert Award in the Large Business - Vessel Operations category. This represents SeaRiver's second consecutive Benkert Award, having received top honors in 2002.
