Vought Aircraft Pledges Upgrades, Jobs at Dallas Plant; Texas Awards Grant.

Feb. 27--DALLAS -- With a $35 million grant from the state of Texas in hand, officials of Vought Aircraft Industries say they will retool the company so it remains a major force in the U.S. aerospace industry.

Vought President Tom Risley, with a beaming Gov. Rick Perry and other officials at his side, promised Thursday to use the public money to modernize facilities and equipment and create at least 3,000 jobs.
