Network Security Solutions Provider Doubles Headquarters Space, Opens West Coast and Federal Sales and Service Offices
Mazu Networks, a leading provider of network intelligence and security solutions
"Network security initiatives remain at or near the top of the list of corporate and government IT spending priorities," said Jim Melvin, president and CEO of Mazu Networks. "Network and security professionals are focused on protecting their organizations' critical business processes from security threats that are growing in both numbers and sophistication. Business critical applications need to be protected, but also need to enable wider access than ever before. The challenge of protecting these assets in an affordable manner has translated into high demand for our solutions. Our new field locations will enable us to provide rapid, high-quality services to customers in those regions. The new headquarters facility will accommodate our larger development and marketing teams, and provide for our further growth."
Mazu's western region office is the focal point for sales and service activities for customers in the western United States and in all Asian markets. The new office will be overseen by Eric Martin, Mazu's director of sales, western region. Martin brings a strong track record of success in technology sales to his new position. Prior to joining Mazu, he served as vice president of R&D sales at Opnet Technologies, a leading provider of intelligent network management technologies. Martin holds both BS and MS degrees in Civil Engineering and an MS in Technology and Policy from MIT.
Mazu's federal market office has been established to provide local sales and service support for all U.S. federal government agencies and departments. The federal office, in conjunction with Mazu's channel sales organization, also supports major systems integrators that sell to and service government agencies. Mazu has appointed Joshua Wolfe to oversee its federal market office. Wolfe has more than 17 years of technology sales and sales management experience in the federal market. Prior to joining Mazu, he was director of federal sales for Network Associates. Earlier in his career, he held senior federal sales and business development positions with Compaq, Digital Equipment Corp., and Bull Information Systems.
