Bronx officials have not just been sitting back and waiting for the world to beat a path to their door. In recent years, they have launched various marketing efforts and incentive programs. Three years ago, for example, the borough created a $6.75 million fund to provide no-interest loans to businesses that want to make energy-saving renovations. The borough is also home to three Empire Zones and one Empowerment Zone, where companies are eligible for state and federal subsidies, respectively
