Mar. 20--HIGH POINT -- The High Point City Council approved temporary amendments to the Northeast Davidson Area Plan Monday over the objections of a coalition of real estate and building interests.

In order to move ahead with the city's Westside Wastewater Treatment Plant improvements and outfalls, the city had agreed with the state to temporarilyamend the plan that guides development in northeast Davidson County.
