Myrtle Beach, S.C.-Area Tourism Tax Might Go to Marketing.

Jul. 22--More money could be headed to local tourism promoters for a shoulder-season advertising campaign if Horry County Council approves a resolution tonight.

Councilman Mark Lazarus plans to suggest giving $45,000 from an accommodations tax revenue contingency fund to the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. The money would be part of a campaign merging those dollars with money from the city, the chamber and, possibly, airlines that serve the area to target those
