Yuba County, Calif., Gains 24 Percent More Sales Tax Revenue Than Last Year.

Jul. 6--Yuba County's sales tax revenue for the first ...uarter of 2003 increased 24 percent compared to the first ...uarter of 2002, the second highest percentage increase in the state, according to county officials.

Assistant County Administrator Randy Margo said new construction in the county, particularly in Wheatland, where sales tax revenue jumped by 63 percent, was the biggest contributor to the significant increase.
