Apr. 27--Two small cities next to Grand Coulee Dam are working on projects to meet federal drinking-water standards that require them to quit using unfiltered water from Lake Roosevelt.

Coulee Dam, population 1,015, is putting finishing touches on a new $5.9 million filtration plant that began operating within the past month.
