Apr. 4--NEWPORT, N.H. -- A misunderstanding over a budget advisory committee decision last week led many to believe that several social service agencies would no longer be funded by the town.

At a recent hearing, the budget advisory committee members voted to recommend to the selectmen that money requested as town support for several social services appear as warrant articles at the May town meeting instead of being built into the town's operating budget, said Selectman an
