Port of Beaumont, Texas, Seeks Railway's Support for Plan to Add Spur Line.

Mar. 30--The Port of Beaumont is asking Kansas City Southern Railway to support its plan to run a spur from the railway's tracks into port property to allow for rail expansion.
In a letter written on port letterhead and signed by 11 federal, state and local elected officials and sent Monday, port director Chris Fisher requested support from the KCS for the plan.
Simply put, the port would like to run a spur line from the KCS main track into port property to run
