Officials from Reading, Pa., Area Agree to Consolidate Government Services.

Jan. 30--In an unprecedented move, all three Berks County commissioners and Reading Mayor Tom McMahon said Tuesday that they would like to work on consolidating various local government services, from police departments to sewer systems.

"Overall, I think the theme for us has to be cooperation," Commissioners Chairwoman Judith L. Schwank said.
