Dec. 6--Franklin "Kim" Kimbrough resigned Friday as president and chief executive officer of the Portland Business Alliance, which took an aggressive stance under his watch that alienated much of City Hall and split the powerful group over the tactical wisdom of that approach.
An alliance release said Kimbrough submitted his resignation to "focus on personal matters." The resignation came the day after the alliance's executive committee discussed Kimbrough, alliance chair
