SANDPOINT, Idaho--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 27, 2004

Intermountain Community Bancorp (OTCBB:IMCB) announces the appointment of Barbara Strickfaden to its Board of Directors. A native Idahoan and graduate of the University of Idaho, Barbara most recently served as the CEO and president of the Idaho Bankers Association.

Barbara began her career in 1969, serving as secretary to the Senate State Affairs Committee until 1978, when she was appointed to serve as an Idaho State Senator. In 1982, Barbara was appointed as administrator of the Alcohol Beverage Control Division of the Idaho Department of Law Enforcement. In 1986, she moved to Coeur d'Alene with her husband and developed the Greater Coeur d'Alene Convention and Visitors Bureau, serving as president until 1992. She then returned to Boise and served as CEO/president of the Idaho Bankers Association from 1992-2003.

Strickfaden is presently a member of the Boise Rotary Club and serves as a member and past chair of the Western States Banking Association Executives. She continues to serve on numerous national banking committees and leads a delegation of bankers each year to Washington DC to meet with national trade associations, the Federal Reserve, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, Conference of State Banking Supervisors and other government agencies.

Intermountain Community Bancorp (IMCB) originally opened as Panhandle State Bank in Sandpoint in 1981 to meet the needs of the local community in Northern Idaho. Intermountain Community Bank, a division of Panhandle State Bank, was formed in 1999 with the intent of expanding into southern Idaho.

Currently, IMCB operates twelve branches throughout the state of Idaho and Oregon. Branches operate under Panhandle State Bank in northern Idaho, and Intermountain Community Bank in southern Idaho and Oregon. A new SBA Center and Home Loan Center are headquartered in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
